UK Immigration
Comprehensive and Genuine information about UK Immigration, Types of Visas. UK remains one of the mainly well-liked countries in the world as an immigration destination. Many UK visa guides and help lines available to get you started if you want to handle your UK immigration on your personal. The US immigration process can be confusing and ritual, but our Tips and Advices will help you out in solving your immigration problems.

Types of Visas

•Post Study work
The Post-Study Work visa replaces both the previous International Graduates Scheme (IGS) and the Fresh Talent: Working in Scotland Scheme, allowing successful applicants to transfer into any other tier 1 visa category under the Points Based System, if they can meet the specific requirements of that category.

•Work permit
As with the previous system of UK work permits, applying for a tier 2 visa is an employer led process with the sponsoring company applying on behalf of the candidate. However, like all tiers of the new system, candidates will be assessed against a points test, in this case with a 50-point minimum pass mark. All applicants will be required to meet this threshold in order to qualify.

•Student visa
Student visas are only valid if they are issued through an approved educational institution. The list below is the approved Register of Sponsors from the UK Border Agency.

•HSMP
Highly Skilled Migrant Programme or HSMP. Taking into account the applicant’s qualifications, previous earnings, age, and any work experience or qualifications earned in the UK. As with all sub divisions of Tier 1 the overall minimum pass mark required in order to qualify is 75 points.

Other Visas
•Marriage Visas
UK marriage visa, or spouse visa, enables your husband, wife or civil partner to apply for leave to enter, or leave to remain in the UK on the basis that they are married to a person who is present and settled in Britain.Settled status means that you are living here lawfully with no time limit on your stay. Both parties in the marriage have to be 21 before a marriage visa can be issued.Your spouse must apply for entry clearance before traveling to the United Kingdom. If you intend to bring your unmarried partner to join you.

•Fiancé Visas
The UK fiancé visa service allows a person to bring their fiance to join them in the United Kingdom as long as they themselves have settled status as a permanent resident or British citizen.Settled status means that they are living here lawfully with no time limit on their stay. If you are returning to the United Kingdom to settle, your partner can also apply for a UK fiance visa to join you at the same time.If you wish to bring your spouse or common-law partner to join you in the United Kingdom, Global Visas can help at every stage of the process. As a specialist UK immigration consultancy, we can provide expert immigration lawyer advice and help you embark upon the best route for your needs.

• UK dependency Visa
This UK visa for immigration of dependents allows an applicant to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK (ILR), often referred to as permanent residency.Such an application is based upon a candidate’s dependency on a person who is present and settled as a permanent resident or a UK citizen, and who is supporting the UK visa application. A UK Dependency visa application has no immigration related restrictions on the type of work or business a person may undertake upon arrival.

•Training and work experience
The Training and Work Experience scheme or TWES visa service allows an organization to bring in a non-EU citizen for the purposes of training towards a professional or specialist qualification, or practical work experience, on the basis that the candidate will return to the organization’s office in their home country to utilize the experience gained while working in the UK.A TWES permit will only be granted to a person who is engaged in a capacity additional to the normal staffing requirements of the employer.

UK Working Culture
Countries hoping to integrate new immigrants should make sure the immigrants remain proud of and interested in their ethnic culture as well as their new home, suggests a new study on immigrant youth. The ideal situation is for young immigrants to be proud of both their ethnic culture and new country, and to avoid ignoring either, remembering their roots makes it easier to handle discrimination and deal with the challenges of facing a new life, the report says.

FAQ’s
•Does the visa guarantee my entry to the UK?
You have given the entry clearance officer all information relevant to your visit to the UKYou have not, with or without your knowledge, given false information to support your application, and there has been no change to your circumstances, or reasons for going to the UK, since the visa was issued
•What if my reason for going to the UK changes?
A visa is normally issued for a specific purpose. If your reason for going to the UK changes, you should inform the visa office, preferably the one that issued your visa. You may be asked to make another visa application.
• What if I am refused a UK visa?
If you are refused a visa to enter the UK, the entry clearance officer will give you a written notice clearly explaining the decision, which will also tell you of your rights of appeal.

US culture

The United States has a long history of welcoming immigrants from all over the world. US value the contributions of immigrants, who continue to enrich this country and preserve its legacy as a land of freedom and opportunity. Though US is a nation of diverse cultures and backgrounds bound by shared history. American culture, surely one of the richest and most varied in the world

US VISA TYPES
• Business visa
A foreign national who has a permanent residence in another country and who does not intend to abandon his/her home country, may enter the United States for a brief specified period in order to conduct limited business activities. The International Business Visitor may not receive salary or payment of any kind in the United States.

• Tourist Visa
Foreign citizens (like from India, China etc.) who wish to visit the United States temporarily must first obtain a visa. Those coming to the U.S. as tourists, to visit friends or relatives, for medical treatment or to conduct business, must obtain a visitor’s visa (B-1 for business or B-2 for pleasure/medical treatment). B1 and B2 are non-immigrant visas. Such visas are normally issued up to period of 3 months to 10 years. Once the visitor is in the USA, an additional extension of 6 months can be obtained upon approval by the USCIS.You will need to show that you can financially support your relatives while they are in the U.S.

• Study Visa
Immigration The United States welcomes foreign citizens who come to the U.S. to study or participate in an exchange program. Before applying for a visa, all student and exchange visitor applicants are required to be accepted and approved for their program. When accepted, educational institutions and program sponsors will provide each applicant the necessary approval documentation, to be submitted when applying for a visa. Please select from the choices below for information about student and exchange visitor visas:

• Work permit visa
There are two major ways to get a work permit in USA, (i) the H1B visa and (ii) L1 visa. The H1B Visa details for migrating to USA, one needs to apply for the H1B visa. The employer and not the employee apply for this visa, for a period of up to six years. The employer then invites the employee based on the H1B visa issued to them. These visas have limitation of per-year number of staff that can be invited for work by the host company. In other words, the H1B visa is an occupation-specialized visa that is issued for the host company with a yearly limitation on the number of staff that can be invited.

• The L1 Visa
In this visa the employers in US are permitted to transfer employees to and fro the companies wherever they are in the world. The only pre-requisite for this visa is that the employee should be part of any of the subsidiary, affiliate or branch of the company, which has obtained the L1 visa. The limit for this type of visa is 7 years for managers and executives. Spouses and children of the L1 visa holder will have to apply for L2 visa.

US Citizenship
Citizenship is one of the most coveted gifts that the U.S. government can bestow, and the most important Immigration benefit that USCIS can grant. Most people become U.S. citizens in one of two ways: By birth, either within the territory of the United States or to U.S. citizen parents, or By Naturalization.
Other Visa and work permit categories

• Marriage Visa
In order to petition for a Immigrant Visa for your wife or husband, your relationship with your Spouse must be duly established. A petition cannot be filed for a spouse until the marriage ceremony has taken place. Spouses of U.S. Citizens will fall under the Immediate Relative Category, which do not have a visa quota.

• Domestic Workers
if you wish to accompany your employer to the UK as a domestic/household worker, you will need to apply for a Domestic Worker visa. You can apply for this type of visa if you have been working for your employer for at least one year. You will most likely be granted a visa for between six and 12 months, depending on the length of stay of your employer. This visa can also be extended.
Entertainer’s .If you intend to come to the UK to perform as an amateur or professional entertainer, you will need a work permit. In the following cases you would not need a work permit but would require a business visitor visa:

• Postgraduate Doctors/Dentists
If you have qualified in the UK or abroad as a doctor or dentist you may be able to do postgraduate training in the UK. You must first register with either the General Medical Council or the General Dental Council before you start postgraduate training.
• Unmarried Partners
It has been possible since 1997 for unmarried partners both in a heterosexual and same sex relationship to gain entry to the UK. These sort of applications tend to be more difficult than those based on marriage as you need to show that you have been together for two years and that it is a permanent relationship.

• Voluntary workers
You can stay in the United Kingdom for a maximum of 12 months as a voluntary worker. There is no limit on the number of times you can come to the UK as a voluntary worker, but you must not plan to live permanently in the UK. You must do fieldwork offering direct assistance to those the charity is there to help, for example, elderly, disabled, vulnerable or homeless people.

Visa Queries
• What is a Visa?
Certain international travelers may be eligible to travel to the U.S. without a visa if they meet the requirements for visa-free travel.
